The Astoria Tank is the training companion to our premium McCarren Singlet line. The Astoria provides an amazing degree of stretch and comfort at the highest of speeds. And on those hot and humid days, this fabric was selected to minimize the possibility of chafing.
"Straight Cut" garments are generally designed for individuals with a more uniform torso, as the garment is generally straight in its construction. Its size bands are commonly described or labeled by other brands as a "men's cut," "unisex cut," or "tailored unisex" though our garments are not slim fit. The size you most expect to be, if reaching for a garment labeled as "men's," would be a helpful starting point.
Bakline firmly believes that garments should be described with respect to how they are designed. Anyone, regardless of gender, can be comfortable and perform well in any of our cuts depending on your personal preferences, body shape, size, and style.

This gallery is of the McCarren Original Singlet. Note that the Astoria Tank has wider straps, sits a little higher under the arms, and is not quite as racerback, though the overall width, length, general sizing, are the same.
care and attention to sizing
Bakline is constantly collecting feedback both during the product development stage and beyond. We've developed a size chart that ensures we're recognising the differences in bodies across all sizes. The XS-M are slightly different than how we construct the L-2XL. We should all be comfortable, regardless of size and speed.
Two Panel Construction
The Astoria has the same two fabric panels as our signature McCarren Original fabric, while the back is a polyester mesh for extra breathability and reduced weight.
