Rugby as a sport transcends many cultures around the world. It can be interpreted as a force for social change with it’s history, traditions and sportsmanship. It is no surprise that advertising agencies and thinkers alike around the world use the simple iconography and elements of rugby to market the game, it’s stars and products. Not forgetting the many charities and initiatives that involve teamwork to solve global social issues. The beauty of rugby in advertising also can be recognized worldwide – more so than some of our domestic games here in the States.
