The Ultra 5” was designed to be the ultimate all-around short—long enough for any activity, equipped for any distance. With eight pockets, it carries everything you need for the road or trail while staying effortlessly streamlined.

Made from a remarkably light, breathable fabric with a soft feel and gentle stretch, it stays chafe-free no matter the miles. We put over 2,000 miles of testing into refining every detail—from stitching to pocket depth—because great gear isn’t just imagined, it’s proven.

Carry What You Need, and Forget the Rest

A waistband should be the last thing on your mind when you’re pushing the pace. Through extensive testing—and frustration with shorts that simply copy each other—we refined the elastic waistband to sit securely without restriction. It won’t fold in the wash, flip mid-run, or dig and chafe on hot days. Comfortable at any speed, and never in your way.

With eight pockets, the Ultra 5” is built for longer efforts and all-day comfort. Two mesh gel pockets on each hip keep fuel within reach, while an inner key pocket secures small essentials. A rear zippered pocket fits a phone, while two additional front pockets provide even more storage without excess bulk. A built-in drying loop makes post-run care effortless.

Our products are designed to be washed normally. While handwashing will definitely improve the life of any garment, it is not required for Bakline products.

Fabric Composition:

All black is 100% nylon. All other colors are 100% polyester.
