The Hop to Hops Challenge is a prediction race series, created to support a different focus on why we race. Rather than assigning winners based on the fastest race time, we instead celebrate those who most accurately predict the time it will take them to run the course.
This Edition: This H2H is checkpoint race between Bakline HQ and Other Half Brewing, requiring that you run across each of the five bridges that span the Gowanus Canal.
When: Tuesday, July 21st. Check-in at 7:00, race start at 7:30.
Course: While there is no official closed course, we've developed a recommended route for you that measures about 5K.
Prizes: Allocated based on the absolute accuracy of your predicted time (you don't have to be "fast" to win - you tell us the time you expect to complete the course, and you're ranked based on how closely you achieve this time).

Races shouldn't only be about how fast you are. Our prediction runs value more than just speed in ranking you on how close you get to your predicted time. Here's how it works:
- On race day, you will inform us of your predicted time (which you can run at any pace you'd like) for the 5K route.
- If you are a part of a team, you will list your team on your check-in form.
- We compare your actual time with your predicted time.
- We rank all runners based on the difference between your actual and predicted time. The person with the smallest difference wins!
- If you are part of a team, we sum each person's individual difference and the team with the smallest value wins the team division.
You do not need to run together during the race in order to be a part of a team.

Check-in At Bakline HQ
Meet at Bakline's HQ at 424A 3rd Ave. Here you will confirm your predicted time (minutes and seconds) and we'll give you stickers to cover your watch and phone for the race.
You're welcome to drop off items you don't wish to carry with you while you race. We'll transport these to the finish line for you.

We Race
There is no official course. Just get yourself to the following checkpoints in whatever order you choose. When you pass through each checkpoint, you'll pick up a small token that you must present upon arrival at the finish.
- Union Street Bridge
- Carroll Street Bridge (yes, it's open!)
- Third Street Bridge
- Ninth Street Bridge
- Hamilton Avenue Bridge
- Other Half Brewing (must finish here)
7:45 PM - 10 PM
