Before every race, big or small, there’s someone we love making their way to the starting line.

We’ve seen the exhaustion from long runs, to the early wake-ups, the nights out sacrificed in the name of a goal, and the quiet doubts along the way. We know what it took to get to the starting line. And for most of the race, all we can do is scream at a screen, tracking their progress, largely helpless. We tear up at the finish — from joy, pride, and love for what they’ve achieved. Because for the fifteen seconds when we see them fly by, we feel everything they’ve fought for — and we’re right there with them.
